Dear Parents, Coaches, and Players,

We are excited to announce the upcoming MHA Handball Festa, where Gudja Primary School will join. A thrilling event aimed at fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun among our young athletes. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Malta Handball Association for their invaluable support, as well as to the EU Solidarity Project for support our Health Action project.

Participants:

  • 16 girls from Gudja Primary School have registered for the event. Among them, Maria and Pearl bring experience from playing with Kavallieri Handball Club and will support the formation of two effective teams.
  • Coaches Szabina and Isaac will lead the school team, ensuring our players perform at their best.
  • We are also fortunate to have the support of Kavallieri Handball Club, with coaches Ilenia, Liam, Stephanie, Gaby, Matthias, Jasmine, Raquelle, and Jacob contributing to the organization of the event.

Event Details: The Handball Festa will take place on the 11th of February from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Tal-Qroqq Sport Hall. We kindly request all participants to arrive promptly at 8:45 AM to ensure a smooth start to the day.

Parental Involvement: Ms. Marion Cutajar, the head of Gudja Primary School, has arranged a Saturday morning MS Teams meeting for parents of girls in years 4, 5, and 6. This meeting will serve as an opportunity to discuss the schedule, necessary preparations, and how best to represent our school on the day of the event. Your involvement and support are highly appreciated. Please ensure your attendance at this important meeting.

Team Isaac: Amy, Zeah, Faye, Averie

Team Szabina: Eliza, Martina, Julia, Tessa, Katrina

Anise, Pearl and Maria will also join

Preparation Checklist: To ensure a successful and enjoyable day, we recommend the following preparations:

  1. Ensure your child arrives at the venue on time, dressed in appropriate sports attire and equipped with a water bottle.
  2. Gudja PE kit, T-Shirts in two colors, comfortable sport shoes.
  3. Pack a healthy snack and lunch to keep energy levels up throughout the event.
  4. Encourage your child to warm up before the games to prevent injuries.
  5. Familiarize yourself with the rules of handball to better support and cheer for our teams.
  6. Bring along your enthusiasm and sportsmanship to create a positive and supportive atmosphere for all participants.
  7. More will be discussed during Saturday morning 8:30 Teams call

MS Teams Group: We have created an MS Teams group named “The Name of the Game is Handball” within the Microsoft 365 environment of Gudja Primary School. Parents and participants are encouraged to join this group for updates, announcements, and discussions related to handball activities.
